Dr.Michael Edenfield, DDS

Dr.Edenfield completed his under-graduate studies in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree from Longwood University and received his D.D.S. from the Howard University College of Dentistry in 1998. Upon completion of his academic work, Dr. Edenfield returned to Virginia Beach to practice dentistry because of his personal and family connections to the area. He first moved to Virginia Beach in 1975 when his father, a career U.S. Navy sailor was reassigned.
Dr. Edenfield has a strong interest in the art of Endodontics (Root Canals) and has devoted a very significant number of hours completing continuing education courses and seminars specifically related to this specialty.  In addition to his interest in Endodontics, Dr. Edenfield has become certified in the highly specialized area of Intravenous (IV) and Oral Sedation.  He completed the University of Southern California sedation technique course conducted by Dr. Stanley Malamed, one of the foremost international authorities on dental anesthesiology.  Dr. Edenfield’s professional affiliations and memberships include:

Kimi Andaya, D. M. D.

Dr. Kimi Andaya has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology frm the University of Kentucky and a D.M.D. from the University of Louisville.  She also completed a coveted General Practice Residency at the University of Kentucky and became certified in the highly specialized area of Intravenous (IV) and Oral Conscious Sedation and Hospital Dentistry.  Dr. Andaya continues to volunteer to go on mission trips and provide dental care to disadvantaged and special needs individuals.

Andrea’ Farrior, D.M.D
Dr. Farrior has a bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Western Kentucky University.  After working as a quality control Chemist for three years, he decided it was time to return to school and pursue his life’s dream of becoming a dentist.  He then enrolled at University of Kentucky College of Dentistry where he received his D.M.D., and completed a General Practice Residency.  During his residency he became certified in Intravenous (IV) Sedation and Hospital Dentistry.

John Michael Courtney, B.S.
Clinic Manager - Chattanooga 

John Michael is the Clinic Manager for the Chattanooga Clinic and has a Bachelors of Science degree from Auburn University and has held several executive management positions in the private sector; most recently for ten years with Clayton Homes. John Michael has been with Dr. Michael E. Edenfield, DDS, PC since November 2006 and is a very strong supporter of Special Needs (MH/MR) individuals. He continues to work tirelessly to make sure all waiver patients have access to comprehensive dental services.
